Alright, people,
fusselbiene and
gaharr got suspended because paypal botched their payment so bad that LJ permanently banned them. Apart from instant banning instead of communication because their *might* have been a problem/mistake (which is normal for the US but out of the question in Germany, were you would get several reminders before any action would have takan place) not being versy polite LJ didn't do anything wrong. Paypal did. So let's hope that Paypal will put eveything to its right way again and LJ will oblige.
Isn't it sad how we lost our faith in LJ because of recent events? How my first idea was stupid, overreacting helpers from the LJ inquisition instead of maybe completely normal problems? *sigh* Well, it's not surprising, I fear. I mean, they *did* ban icons with breats-feeding mothers as indecent...

I do wonder, though... if paypal botches the payment - why not put the journal back to "free" or "plus"? why ban it at once?

Date: 2007-07-27 02:29 pm (UTC)Plus: They degraded our journals to basic accounts, before they suspended us. At least that worked. *grmpf*

Date: 2007-07-26 11:05 am (UTC)Your default userpic is viewable throughout the LiveJournal site, and unlike individual journal entries, it cannot be hidden or protected. It is potentially available to anyone on the Internet who randomly browses the site. Therefore, we require that your default userpic not contain anything too explicit. In particular, icons which contain nudity or graphic violence tend to be inappropriate for default userpics.

(Hervorhebung von mir.)
Ich finde es auch albern, aber warum sie es speziell für das Default Bild verbieten, macht dann schon Sinn. (Und ist ja auch besser, als wenn sie es komplett verbieten würden, was sie ja könnten.)
