Okay, Leuts, ich bin zurück in Deutschenland und schulde euch einen Bericht. Fangen wir am Ende an:
Okay, people, I'm back in Germany and I owe you some show and tell. Lets start at the end:


Gegen 23 Uhr war ich losgeflogen, und nach lecker Essen und so 6 Stunden Schlaf war ich 10 Stunden später um 4 Uhr früh in Dubai. XD
Nachdem man mich mit Reiseführern, Garten, Coupons und Tips beworfen hatte, habe ich ein (unglaublich billiges) Taxi in die Innenstadt genommen und bin ausgestiegen. Sowohl meine Brille als auch meine Kamera beschlugen sofort: 34° und sehr hohe Luftfeuchte.
Around 11 p.m. my flight went off from Osaka, and after tasty food and 6h sleep I arrived 10h later at 4 a.m. in Dubai. XD
After they threw tourist guides, coupons and tips at me, I took a(n unbelievably cheap) Taxi into the city center. Instantly my glasses as well as my camera lense fogged over: 34° Celsius and very high humidity.

Aber wow, was für ein nettes Fleckchen Erde... jedenfalls um diese Uhrzeit. Es dauerte an die zwei Stunden, bis ich mich akklimatisiert hatte. Derweil fand ich sehr schöne Foto-Gelegenheiten in der Nähe der Heritage Village, wo der "Creek" in den Arabischen Golf fließt.
But wow, what a nice place... at this time anyway. It took about 2h to acclimate myself. Meanwhile I found beautiful photo opportunities around Heritage Village, where The Creek flow into the Arabian Gulf.
  
Kurz vor Sonnenaufgang um 5:45 / Just before sunrise at 5:45:

Der kleine Schatten im Himmel ist ein Flugzeug. Es war so diesig, dass man die Sonne erst gegen 7 Uhr sah, und da war es nicht mehr so eindrucksvoll.
The tiny shadow in the sky is a plane. It was so misty that you couldn't see the sun until around 7 a.m., and by then she was well up and beyond sunrise.

Ich bin dann durch das Viertel entlang des Creeks auf der Bur Dubai-Seite geschlendert, die andere Seite heißt Deira.
I wandered through Bur Dubai along the side of The Creek, the other side is called Deira.

Hier ist das Zentrum der Tuchhändler, aber erst ab 10 Uhr. XD
Here is the centre of the clothiers, but only after 10 a.m. XD

Da ich Hunger hatte, bin ich in den nächsten Supermarkt (von denen es erstaunlich wenige gab).
Since I was hungry I walked into the next supermarket (and there weren't many).

Viele Trockenfrüchte, Linsen, Bohnen, Gewürze zum selber Scheffeln... kaum fertiges Essen. Oh Japan, mein Japan... T_T
Many dried fruits, lenses, beans, spices to bushel on your own... next to no prepared food. Oh Japan my Japan... T_T

Und der Ausblick beim Frühstück / And the view while eating it:

Manchmal öffneten sich Plätze zum Creek hin, dann sah man die Wassertaxen.
Sometimes suddenly tiny plazas opened to The Creek and you could see the water taxis.

Wer mich kennt, kann sich vorstellen, wie toll ich dieses Viertel fand: Alles alt, und diese Mini-Gassen... *_*
If you know me you can imagine how awesome I thought this quarter was: Old, and all those small walkthroughs... *_*

Und dann plötzlich: Bastakia, der "Altstadt"-Teil von Dubai.
And suddenly: Bastakia, the old town of Dubai.

Wo die Türen alt und herrlich verziert und die Schlösser neu und Shiny sind.
Where doors are old and beautifully ornate and locks are new and shiny.



Diese Türme sind uralte Klimaanlagen: Windsammler, direkt über den Haupt- und Schlafzimmern.
These towers are ancient air conditioning: wind collectors, right above the main and bedrooms.



Man schaue sich die rauhen Stellen im Putz genauer an:

Stein? Nope, Korallen. O.O
Stone? No, corals. O.O



Auf zum Dubai Museum, welches ebenfalls lächerlich billig war, und im einzigen Teil der alten Stadtmauer, der noch erhalten ist, dem großen Wach-Fort.
Off to the Dubai Mueum, which was ridicilously cheap, too, and inside the only part of the old city wall left: the biggest watch fort.

Noch einmal genau auf die Wände schauen: Steine?
Look at the walls again: Stone?

Nö. Die ganze Stadt war wohl aus Strand gebaut.
Nope. The whole city was built from beach.

Das Museum war sehr lehrreich, mit tollen Exponaten und aufgebautem alten Stadtleben, mit Soundeffekten und allem; hier z.B. ein Perlenhändler - auf Perlenhandel fusste Dubais Reichtum.
The museum was very educational, with great exhibits and rebuilt examples of old city life, with sound effects and everything, here pearls where sold - which founded Dubais fortune.

Bis jemand kam und Zucht-Perlen erfand... die Japaner. XD Hier wanderte man unter und neben einem Perlentaucher entlang. *_*
Until someone came and invented cultured pearls... the Japanese. XD Here you could walk under and alongside a pearl diver. *_*

Ein bißchen mehr Bur Dubai...

... which slowly woke up...

... dann per Wassertaxi (16 cent)...

... nach Deira, wo's... anders aussah.

Und wieder am Flughafen: Mittach der Helden: MANN, war der Frucht-Mus-Drink genial! Keine Ahnung, was das Weiße war (es war am leckersten), aber ansonsten war's Erdbeer, Mango, Kiwi. Und es passte farblich so gut zu den Nudeln. *____*
Back to the airport: Lunch of heroes: WOW, was that fruit-mush-drink great! No idea what the white thing was (though it was the best part), but the rest was strawberry, mango, kiwi, and the colours fit the food! *_*

Tüß Dubai, wo sogar die Flughafenuhren...
Bye Dubai, where even the clocks at the airport...

Nach diesem 30-Stunden-Tag, mit 19 Stunden Sonne, 1,5 Stunden im Flugzeug bei abgeschalteter Klimaanlage auf dem Flughafen Dubai, lauten Kindern und einem unverschämten Inder neben mir.... endlich Sonnenuntergang: Düsseldorf.
After this 30 hour long day, with 19 hours of sunshine, 1.5 h in the plane without AC at the airport Dubai, noisy kids and an impudent Indian on the seat besides mine... at long last sundown in Dusseldorf.
